Day 1 Los AngelesOsaka 11/1 Thursday. 9:30 am check in at Japan Airlines group counter at LAXs Bradley International Terminal. Coffee/tea at the Daily Grill Restaurant in LAXs Bradley International Terminal. Early afternoon departure to Bangkok on Japan Airlines.
(JL 069 Los Angeles to Osaka: 12:30 pm to 5:55 pm (11/2)).Day 2 OsakaBangkok 11/2 Friday. Late evening arrival in Bangkok. (JL 727 Osaka to Bangkok: 6:55 pm to 10:55 pm). Transfer to accommodations at the Royal President.
Day 3 Bangkok 11/3 Saturday. Breakfast at the Royal President. Morning tour of National Museum. Lunch and early afternoon tour of Jim Thompsons teak home and museum. Late afternoon at leisure. Seafood dinner at the riverside Ban-Klang-Num Restaurant. Accommodations at the Royal President.
Day 4 Bangkok 11/4 Sunday. Breakfast at the Royal President. Morning tour of the Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha. Boat to the Oriental Hotels China House Restaurant for a dim sum lunch. Afternoon tour of Wat Po and the Reclining Buddha. Outdoor Thai dinner at the Oriental Hotels riverside Sala Rim Naam Restaurant. Evening jazz at the Oriental Hotels Bamboo Bar. Accommodations at the Royal President.
Day 5 BangkokMae Hong Son 11/5 Monday. Breakfast at the Royal President. Morning tour of Vimanmak Teak Mansion including traditional Thai dance performances. Transfer to Bangkok Airport for two hour Thai Airways flight to Mae Hong Son via Chiang Mai. (TG 112 Bangkok to Chiang Mai: 1:15 pm to 2:25 pm; TG 196 Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son: 4:20 pm to 4:55 pm). Transfer to accommodations at the Fern Resort. Barbecue dinner and evening campfire. Accommodations at the Fern Resort.
Day 6 Mae Hong Son 11/6 Tuesday. Breakfast at the Fern Resort. One hour drive to visit a Paduang (long-neck) hilltribe village. Visit one of Asias foremost butterfly collectors and view his collection. Thai lunch at the Fern Restaurant. Afternoon walking city tour featuring Shan architecture and mountain top temple. Late afternoon hiking and swimming. Dinner at the Fern Resort Restaurant. Accommodations at the Fern Resort.
